The islands we'll be visiting beginning January 3 when we land in Papeete are shown below. The first stop after boarding in Papeete is Moorea, then we'll sail clockwise around the islands from there. The longest sailing days are from Bora Bora to Nuku Hiva then from Nuku Hiva to Rangiroa, so we'll be at sea those two days. The remainder of the time we'll be sailing at night then will be in the various ports during the day. There are two days in port at Bora Bora and two at Nuku Hiva then one day at each of the other islands.
We'll be sailing on Oceana's Mariner in a penthouse suite which should be great fun! Our original booking was for a Concierge Veranda Suite, then about a month and a half ago we were offered an upgrade (for a fee, of course). It was still just too much to justify, so we turned it down. Then two weeks later we were offered another upgrade for much less than the first one, so we took it. The upgrade doubled our original room size, gave us a butler (can you believe that!) and provided more amenities, so we couldn't turn it down!
